Several recurring music and cultural events take place at our bohemian Napoleon’s Nose Bar and McKowski Café. The primary weekly and weekend lineups feature an array of blues, jazz, and folk performances.

David Lyttle
An international sensation, Lyttle is “the best in jazz coming out of Ireland in recent times.” Beginning his drumming career at age 4, he has since released 6 albums and 11 EPs, bringing his projects to almost 50 countries. From jamming with cowboys along the U.S. coast to the British Council's Musician-in-Residence in China, Lyttle is certain to enrapture you with his mesmerising sound.
Weekly sessions are available to the public every Friday from 21:30.

David Brown Murray
Finger-style guitarist and producer Murray is instrumental to Belfast’s music scene: joining Tommy Emanuel in a sold-out Ulster Hall, touring Ireland with jazz legends, and performing at The Harrison merely scratch the surface of his career—inspired by film scores, electronica, choral, and orchestral music in particular, which enables his unique playing style.
Weekly sessions are available to the public every Saturday from 15:00 - 18:00.

We invite our gaming enthusiasts to indulge in a competitive evening of chess. Nestle your fingers into our eye-catching antique sets and meet like-minded folk with similar experience.
Open to all skill levels, from complete beginners to grandmasters.
Weekly sessions are available to the public every Tuesday from 20:00 - 23:00.
