Join Dolores and Melanie in the comfortable surroundings of The Harrison to enjoy an engaging new Belfast music experience. The two friends have come together to create a unique music heritage experience in Belfast’s heart: Dolores, a highly experienced and specialist music tour guide, brings her expertise in crafting engaging cultural and music experiences, while Melanie, the hotel proprietor, offers a distinctive setting in The Harrison, a character-filled Victorian building in the Queen’s Quarter. Together, they combine storytelling, music, and hospitality to offer a novel way to explore Belfast’s musical heritage.
Settle down in the Café Blue Room as Dolores takes you on an engaging ‘virtual’ music tour, using music, visuals and personal stories to bring the city’s legendary artists and iconic moments to life. Included are stories about the musicians who have rooms named for them in the hotel.
For the second part of the experience, you will take an exclusive, guided tour of several of the hotel’s uniquely themed rooms, dedicated to artists like Van Morrison, Led Zeppelin, Ruby Murray and Ottilie Patterson. Each room’s décor is unique, and you will see memorabilia collected and carefully curated by Melanie. More stories will reveal unexpected connections between Belfast and global music culture, while also highlighting the history and architectural features of this 19th-century building.
*The experience is scheduled to take place once a month on Sunday, 12 - 1:30 pm, and tickets cost £32pp. A soft drink upon arrival is included*
