About CS Lewis

Clive Staples Lewis (29 November 1898 – 22 November 1963) was born and bred in East Belfast. He is best known for his works of fiction, especially The Screwtape Letters, The Chronicles of Narnia, and The Space Trilogy. Lewis and fellow novelist J. R. R. Tolkien were close friends. You can visit C.S. Lewis Square and view sculptures from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, his most famous book. His mother was one of the first females graduates from Queens. There is a CS Lewis reading library in Queens to honor his contribution to literature.
